Pre-Cut Windshield Sun Strip
The tinted band across the top of the windshield. It blocks low sun right where your visor can't, and it's the easiest piece to install.
A sun strip (also called a visor strip or eyebrow) is a band of tint across the top of the windshield. It’s cut to follow the curve of your glass so the bottom edge runs level across the car instead of drooping at the corners.
How far down does it go?
Many states set the limit at the AS-1 line, a small mark etched near the top corner of most windshields. Others use a measurement such as 4 or 5 inches from the top. Check your state’s rule and your AS-1 line before installing.
Picking a shade
- 5% or 20%: the classic dark strip, best at stopping direct sun
- 35%: a softer look that still cuts glare
The sun strip has its own shade in the builder, so you can run a dark strip with lighter side windows.
Price
Carbon sun strip $30, ceramic $47. Add it to any kit or order it alone.
