A full windshield piece cut to your glass. Most people choose a light ceramic to cut heat and glare without making the road harder to see.
The windshield is the biggest piece of glass on most cars and the one the sun hits hardest. A light ceramic film there makes a real difference in cabin heat and glare, especially on a dark dashboard.
Before you order
- Check your state’s law. Many states only allow tint on the top few inches of the windshield, and some allow a light film on the full glass. Rules differ, so look up yours.
- Pick a light shade for full coverage. 70% ceramic is the usual choice. It’s barely visible and still rejects heat.
- Want a dark band instead? Get a sun strip for the top of the glass. You can order both, each with its own shade.
Installing a windshield is the hard one
A windshield is the most curved glass on the car, and the film has to be heat-shrunk on the outside before it goes on the inside. Expect to spend more time on it than on all the side windows combined. A heat gun is a must. Read do you have to shrink pre-cut tint? before you start. If you’ve never tinted before, do your side windows first.
